International Centre and Land Warfare School

The Finnish Defence Forces made some changes to its structure and therefore two new units were created: International Centre, which trains UN peacekeepers, and Land Warfare School, which is part of Finnish Military Academy.

Land Warfare School's flag has the Finnish lion in yellow and white on dark green background with a yellow rose in the upper hoist corner. It was designed by War Museum's heraldist Liisa Kontiainen.

International Centre's flag has the Finnish lion holding a sceptre in white on blue background. This flag was designed by heraldist and artist Harri Rantanen.

The President of the Republic presented the flags on November 27. The Chaplain General blessed the flags in the same ceremony.
